Adjustable Ankle Weights-All Pro

After discovering that ankle weights really do add an extra oomph to my exercise routine, I went shopping around for the best ankle weights that I could add to my fitness collection, and for me that meant completely adjustable ankle weights.

As you would expect, All Pro are exactly what they claim to be – simply weights for your ankle. But All Pro have managed to make them comfortable, durable  and functional. All Pro also have a patent on their ankle weights, so no other manufacture can copy them.

I found that they have an exceptionally high rating on on Amazon , and really great customer reviews which gave me more confidence when buying them

Fully Adjustable Ankle weights

After a bit of research, one of the sets I tried were the new All Pro Ankle Weights. Unlike some others these allow me not only adjust the fit, but also as you will see in the video below, I can reduce the weight on each leg, hence fully Adjustable Ankle weights.

I felt like the construction of ankle weights in this price range would need to be of high quality. Anything less would not only be uncomfortable when attached to my ankle, but also not good value for money. I didn’t need to worry. These adjustable ankle weights are extremely comfortable, allow me a surprising amount of movement, and really are the best ankle weights, especially for walking.
Adjustable Ankle weights
I will mention that I only weigh around 150 lbs and have quite small ankles, so I was worried that they would be too loose or would move and cause irritation. Again, no problem! They have an adjustable strap, and I found that simply wearing a thin pair of long socks that sit under the weights made them fit very snugly! Given they fit snugly on me I would be confident that they would fit on any size ankle.

Obviously because they are used to build fitness, you will be moving a lot while wearing them. I found that the generous padding not only adds to comfort but gives a surprising amount of support. The heel part actually has special additional padding to protect the Achilles tendon. Anyone who has ever damaged their Achilles tendon will greatly appreciate this feature and will not take this for granted.

Wrist weights available

All Pro also have matching wrist weights so you can easily add additional weight to both arms and legs when focused on resistance training at home or at the gym.

There are different sizes, but the one I tried was the 10 lbs ankle weight set. So the weight for each leg was 5 lbs. Honestly, I found this to be a good weight. I am not training for the Olympics, I simply want to up my strength a bit. So 5lbs on each leg was perfect.

Any heavier and I would have gotten a lot sorer a lot quicker.

Of course as I mentioned, although they are called the 10-pound set, they are completely adjustable. So when my legs were screaming for a day off after an intense day of training, I was able to simply pull out some of the solid iron weights and effectively make them lighter. Each bar is half a pound in weight so I loved that. I will definitely keep using them as a really simple and effective way to up my fitness game at home.
